8 Reasons why you should exercise

There are numerous resons why to exercise. But now I am sharing just 8 very good reasons why we physios should also be prescribing the recommended exercise guidelines to our patients; and not just a series of home stretches or strengthening exercises. We're in a great position to be encouraging preventative health! 150mins per week, or 22mins per day of moderate intensity exercise is all that is required.
1. Reduces the risk of heart diseaes by 40%
2. Decreases the risk of Stroke by 27%
3. Reduces the incedence of diabetes by almost 50 %
4. Reduces the incedence of BP, by almost 50 %
5. Reduces the mortality of recurrent Breast cancer by almost 50%
6. Can reduce the overall risk of colon cancer by over 60%
7. Can reduce the risk of Alzimers disease by 30%
8. Can decrease depression effectively
